Very very nice!
Heck this might even be a venture to consider talking with Nintendo about: providing (paid) access to legacy games via a web browser. You'd beat any flash games site hands down!!!
Add in the PS1 and you would be god.

btw: it did not work on my not-at-home laptop *wink*, everything was just black. Though that might be because I have a lot of stuff shut off.
I'll give it a spin at home.

sega does this actually - they use LWJGL and an emulator to provide access to their legacy games.

Shocked That's too cool for Java gaming!!!  Please give us the link.

About Nintendo doing emulation in browser, I'd not count on it. I guess that Nintendo's logic would be that doing this outside the wii would keep new/existing players away of the wii, hence reduce chances of buying a wii and playing games on it.

Plus Nintendo is VERY protective about their titles and very closed to outside influence.

Not to mention the support cost, and damage to the brand if it doesn't work smoothly.

Amazing! Wait, are the instructions compiled into java byte code, or how exactly?

The game works nice for me, but the sound is a bit stuttery/glitchy and the controls don't combine, like, if I press forward and jump I stop moving forward and just jump up.
